Shark water…. it’s as if the world has gone mad. I don’t mean the world as a whole, but more as the important world I live in; family and friends. The things relevant to my immediate “I give a shit” life. Fires in Colorado, tornadoes in Oklahoma, the draw of the moon making people say and do things that are out of character for them. In some cases it has been tear jerking to hear and deal with some of the things that have been going on recently. In my almost depressed state, I was unable to think of something to write about today, my muse seemed to have taken another Bahama vacation.

I was talking to my niece a lot today, and she made a comment that contained the keywords “sharks circling” that immediately made me think of something I love the most in this life… music.
In this case it was a song by Projected Twin called Shark Water. I love this song, and the lyrics and tone fit the mood of today. I hope you enjoy the video. Please take a look at Projected Twin, Shaun Holton’s website and check out more of his music.

Shark Water – Projected Twin. The Lyrics

I’ve been a while here
And you stopped listening to me
And I’m not moving anymore
Because I know better than that

This world is shaking me
For all that I am worth
And you, you’re not moving anymore
Because I am no better than that

Stop fighting it
It’s not time
Keep telling yourself you know why
Keep breathing
Find your life
Your time is gonna’ be light

And I wont cry
When you are gone
Keep on thinking
It won’t be long

I won’t die now
That I’m alone
Keep on fighting
It wont be long

Yes, this is a great song, the lyrics have a lot of meaning to me. This is a song that as depressing as the lyrics are, reminds me that my life really isn’t as bad as it is seeming at the moment. Thank you for your comments.

  4. I remember making you listen to this song like 4 years ago rofl. Shaun explained the meaning behind this song too and it’s depressing I’m gonna be honest.
