Hannah Montana has died, and the free world mourns… Miley Cyrus.. the kid has talent.. but… WTH has happened to her?  Her brain fall out the other side of her head?  I have to admit, I like her song Wrecking Ball….  this kid has such a beautiful voice…  Listen to the video below…

I love this song, hate the video.  Beautiful song, tainted by a hooker… unless she is trying to say that the person she is singing about has treated her like one.. if that is the case, point taken.

With that being said… how did we go from this Miley:

Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball
Miley Cyrus, a together, well mannered young lady.

To this Miley?

Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball
The hooker from hell Miley Cyrus.

Dear Miley, I understand that you want to be remembered but don’t you think you should let your actual talent define your career and use that to stand out? Or do you want to have people only remember that you were a whorish, psychotic fool in 20 years? Kid, I am tempted to give you a freaking Chronically Moronic Award… Your career, I guess you have the right to do with it what you want. If you don’t mind losing jobs, then who am I to say anything. (Miley lost Vogue magazine cover due to her actions… that’s sad to me…. what a waste of talent and beauty… just saying.)

Ok, I know this post was supposed to be about the song, not slamming Miley, but I couldn’t help myself. She left the door (among other things) wide open for opinionated people like me to just waltz through. Back to the song… There is speculation that the video is about her relationship with Liam Hemsworth.. if this is the case, she needs to get out of it as soon as possible… Abuse is abuse, mental, physical or emotional. (Irony.. wrecking ball is also what she is potentially doing to her career… agree with me or not…)

Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball Lyrics

We clawed, we chained, our hearts in vain
We jumped, never asking why
We kissed, I fell under your spell
A love no one could deny

Don’t you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you
I can’t live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was break me
Yeah, you wreck me

I put you high up in the sky
And now, you’re not coming down
It slowly turned, you let me burn
And now, we’re ashes on the ground
Don’t you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you

I can’t live a lie, running for my life
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was break me
I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crouching in a blaze and fall
All you ever did was break me
Yeah, you wreck me

I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
And instead of using force
I guess I should’ve let you in
I never meant to start a war
I just wanted you to let me in
I guess I should’ve let you in

Don’t you ever say I just walked away
I will always want you

I came in like a wrecking ball
I never hit so hard in love
All I wanted was to break your walls
All you ever did was break me
I came in like a wrecking ball
Yeah, I just closed my eyes and swung
Left me crouching in a blaze and fall
All you ever did was break me
Yeah, you wreck me

4 Thoughts on “Miley Cyrus Wrecking Ball”

  • I myself did not see the award performance that she gave except for stills. Very sadly it hasn’t left me with a particular want to hear her songs. It could be just me. Wrecking Ball is a good song, I agree about the video though. very little having to do with the song unless that is how she wanted to portray it. I hope she can find a better balance because this tasteless image she is wanting to put out there is sad for what was once a role model for young women.

    • I saw it… you didn’t miss anything “good”. The talent was muddied by the hookerish actions. As far as role model…. my 5 year old grand daughter isn’t allowed to watch or listen to her anymore. None of us want her to think that behavior is ok. Don’t want her growing up and joining the “world’s oldest profession” like Miley has. 🙂

  • It is a beautiful song, i agree it is sad she has changed her image alot since she started performing , with all the Talent she Has to bring herself to where she is now What A Shame

  • Nothing new its the old formula “Sex Sells” many many performers try it especially the ones seen as goody try the bad girl/boy look for awhile.
Hopefully she will grow out of it soon before it tarnishes her irreversibly because she does have a great voice.
