So once again my lovely state has been a ring of fire. The closest one to me, the Black Forest fire, I am so very happy to say is 100 percent contained. This joyful news was announced at 6 pm this evening. But even with the fire out, it’s had an impact of destruction and heart ache… 509 homes and two people who lost their lives… Marc Herklotz, and Robin Herklotz. I am referring you to this article here.
We still have more fires burning .
The smoke in the air is very thick, have had to dust the house at least 4 times a day since….. My niece Candy posted a photo from her back yard on Face Book…. I am going to share a photo from my own back yard. The smoke in mine is not as bad as her’s, I feel kind of lucky that I have that over grown tree in my neighbor’s back yard at this moment. It and the trees around it seem to be filtering out some of the smoke; sheltering us from harm. Considering the fact that tree is always a threat to fall on my roof when we have wind.. or the fact that it cuts off power as it rubs the lines is an issue, but right now, I want that tree to stay right where it is.
