Freedom Of Choice… It’s a Right Thing…

It’s been a very long time since I gave a chronic moronic award… and while I normally enjoy writing them… this one, not so much. I don’t understand why anyone has an issue with this topic… I don’t understand how anyone can be so closed minded and stupid as to not accept someone else for who they are…. I do not understand how AMERICANS do not know their own history or anything about what their own country is founded on…. Or why they twist it around and claim the opposite of what our fore fathers said, and why this country was founded! Freedom of Choice.. It’s a RIGHT thing, let me show you why. 🙂

1. “Homos/Homosexuals shouldn’t get special treatment” – Let’s look at that statement logically people…. Homo = Human… please refer to any dictionary for clarification if needed… Homo erectus, Homo sapiens…. Get the picture? HUMAN… so therefore lets analyze homosexual…. Human sexual = Human sexuality… Hey moron! GUESS WHAT!!!! I hate to have to logically enlighten you, but you are a homosexual by definition! Not only are you human (although that can be disputed by your actions) you also have sex! Again, that may or may not be a subject of debate… You have a penis, I am sure you have used it at some point in your life… Maybe you should use it more…. You might not be so bitter.
Special treatment? Are you meaning they want to get married and all the same things YOU have as a human? How is that special treatment? You are married….. Did you get special treatment? Think about that for a moment, then get back to me. DO NOT use the “it’s against the bible” BS here….. See my next point….

2.“Gay marriage is against the bible, so it shouldn’t be allowed in this country. We were founded on Christianity. It’s against the law.” – I see things like this said all over the media, hear it from people I know, see it posted on various places on the web….. Come on now… Really? Did you all fall asleep in your high school American History class or what?
I would like to refer you to a very important passage in the Declaration of Independence. Seems like too many of you have forgotten that important piece of paper even exists.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, — That whenever any Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the Right of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute new Government, laying its foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to affect their Safety and Happiness.” == Thomas Jefferson

All men…. IE HOMO…. See point 1. 🙂 None of you have the right to take away someone else’s life, liberty or the pursuit of happiness… NONE OF YOU have the right to stand in the way of a couple, straight, gay, purple exercising those rights laid out by our forefathers. Special treatment? Again.. EQUAL TREATMENT by the ground rules our forefathers laid out before us.

Now, let’s tackle the Bill of Rights… FIRST AMENDMENT!! You people seem to love PART OF IT, but seem to forget what it says right at the start. BTW.. to those of you who were sleeping during your American history class…. the First Amendment ERECTED A WALL THAT SEPARATED CHURCH AND STATE!!!

That goes hand in hand with the belief of our Founding Fathers that rights come from Nature’s God, not ruler’s authority…. Separation of Church and State, anyone? I am sure you heard that mentioned while you were asleep in class. BTW… when you go to court, and you are told to put your hand on the bible and swear “to tell the whole truth so help me God”.. technically that is illegal since it’s in violation of the Constitution and the rule of Separation of Church and state, but that seems to be okay with most of you. 🙂 Just thought we would get technical since people are bitching about LGBT rights being illegal.

Let’s go over what we know about our founding fathers.

One of our MOST LOVED AND BEST KNOWN founding fathers, Thomas Jefferson, was a Materialist… he stated as such…

“But while this syllabus is meant to place the character of Jesus in its true light, as no imposter himself, but a great reformer of the Hebrew code of religion, it is not to be understood that I am with him in all his doctrines. I am a materialist; he takes the side of spiritualism; he preaches the efficacy of repentance towards forgiveness of sin; I require a counterpoise of good works to redeem it.” — letter to William Short, April 13, 1820; Definition of a Materialist:

Since most of you slept through American History class… let me remind you who he was… He drafted our Declaration of Independence, the nation’s first secretary of state (1789–94), second vice president (1797–1801), and, as the third president (1801–09). He was the statesman responsible for the Louisiana Purchase, an early advocate of total separation of church and state, the founder and architect of the University of Virginia and the most eloquent American proponent of INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM as the core meaning of the American Revolution. He is also considered to be THE “apostle of liberty”. Yes, folks.. apostle… of FREEDOM.

Jefferson was actually considered an Atheist by the “Christian Right” of the day. At any rate, you can read what we today call the Jefferson Bible. I would like to point out he never called it that, he entitled it The Life and Morals of Jesus of Nazareth.

1814 September 26. (Jefferson to Miles King). “I must ever believe that religion substantially good which produces an honest life, and we have been authorized by One whom you and I equally respect, to judge of the tree by its fruit. Our particular principles of religion are a subject of accountability to our God alone. I inquire after no man’s, and trouble none with mine; nor is it given to us in this life to know whether your or mine, our friends or our foes, are exactly the right.”

In a nutshell, he believed that we all had the choice, and no one could say who was right or wrong…

“History, I believe, furnishes no example of a priest-ridden people maintaining a free civil government. This marks the lowest grade of ignorance, of which their political as well as religious leaders will always avail themselves for their own purpose.” – Thomas Jefferson to Baron von Humboldt, 1813

So, again.. just with Thomas Jefferson.. show me where our country was founded on Christianity? Just by his statements and words in his writings alone, proves YOUR theory and beliefs that it was.. WRONG!

Many were Deists… Cornelius Harnett, Benjamin Fanklin, Ethan Allan, Thomas Paine, Hugh Williamson, Gouverneur Morris, James Madison, possibly Alexander Hamilton and George Washington.

A few other quotes from our Founding Fathers that the U.S. was NOT founded on Christianity…

As president, John Adams signed the famous Treaty of Tripoli, which boldly stated,

“[T]he government of the United States of America is not in any sense founded on the Christian Religion….”

In 1790, George Washington wrote a letter to Touro Synagogue, reassuring American’s Jews they would enjoy complete religious liberty in America, not merely be tolerated…. Here you can see his VISION for a MULTI-FAITH society where ALL are Free!! This also applies to BIGOTRY AND PERSECUTION IN THE U.S!

The Citizens of the United States of America have a right to applaud themselves for giving to Mankind examples of an enlarged and liberal policy: a policy worthy of imitation. All possess alike liberty of conscience and immunities of citizenship. It is now no more that toleration is spoken of, as if it was by the indulgence of one class of people that another enjoyed the exercise of their inherent natural rights. For happily the Government of the United States, which gives to bigotry no sanction, to persecution no assistance, requires only that they who live under its protection, should demean themselves as good citizens.”

I could continue with quotes from our founding fathers proving that ‘the U.S. was founded on Christianity’ wrong. I would be here for years doing that… I am not against Christianity at all, I am against Morons who twist religion for their own benefit. I am against morons who think their way is the only way.. I am against morons who pretend to know their history as Amercians and spout out untruths because it suits them and their own benefit. I am against morons who are intolerant of other things.. such as other people’s religions, races, and sexual preference.

A reminder to those self professed “religious right”, I would like to point you to your own Good Book that you love to bash the rest of the world with and leave you with points in it that you seem to think does not apply to you.

“Judge not, that ye be not judged.

On closing, I would like to point out that I am not judging, I am merely observing the chronically moronic going on around me, and providing facts. So here’s to you, judgmental, religious and history twisting, only right morons.. your award! CONGRATULATIONS!!! I hereby declare you: CHRONICALLY MORONIC AND PERPETUALLY STUNNED!
